Last week, the experts felt that Ohio State was showing more true grit than Georgia the last few weeks. They were quick to crown Ohio State as the No. 2 team in the country over Georgia but not above Michigan. But on Saturday, Georgia made sure that the experts remembered who they were in bunches. And it is because of this that Georgia should be the No. 1 team on the first College Football Playoff Poll tomorrow.
The FAU Owls victory over the 49ers (has anyone else learned about the “Gold Rush” in Charlotte) helped improve the team’s chances at not only a bowl berth, but a shot at the conference championship game. Their in-conference record (3-1) has them sitting near the top of the American Athletic Conference, just below SMU, UTSA, & Tulane.
There must be something in the water. Or maybe it’s the tequila. Or maybe it’s the scotch. Either way, people are being idiots if they are buying in to the concept that Ohio State is going to win the college football playoff.
