A busy weekend at the Elly brought the top two teams in the AAC to Paradise. After sweeping second place Rice, FAU turned to USF (11-8, 7-1 AAC). The Bulls brought their seven match win streak and top spot in the American to Boca Raton, but that was no worry for the Owls as FAU flew past South Florida 3-1.

After a three-match losing streak FAU hosted Rice (11-6, 6-2 AAC) to Paradise. Rice came into the match in second place in the AAC trying to keep up with USF. Florida Atlantic rode the energy the Elly gave them to blank Rice 3-0 as an important weekend of conference play began.

Owls Fall to Wichita State in five-set Heartbreaker

Florida Atlantic entered the match against Wichita State (9-9, 4-2 AAC) coming off a two match losing streak. The Owls were searching for another AAC victory, and their first conference victory away from Boca Raton. FAU won the first two sets, but could not gain a third victory as they fell to the Shockers 3-2.

Conference play is in full swing. Florida Atlantic looked to get back in the win column as they headed to Oklahoma to face Tulsa (12-5) (4-1 AAC). The road woes continued for FAU as Tulsa earned a 3-1 victory over the Owls.

Florida Atlantic (pictured above, Angelina LaBelle) traveled to the City of Brotherly Love for their first of two matches against AAC foe Temple (7-9) (1-3). The third matchup of the Owls saw Temple gaining the victory after sweeping Florida Atlantic to gain first AAC victory.
