Welcome back everyone and happy Saturday as we leave Arkansas and head back to Southern California. We’re not going to San Diego for Del Mar since their meet closed last weekend, but for the mini-meet at Los Alamitos Race Course for Saturday’s Grade II Starlet Stakes going a mile and sixteenth to close the thoroughbred card there
We are going to Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas for the feature race for the opening day of their 2023-24 meet as we will take a look at the Advent Stakes, which is a race for 2-year-olds going 5 ½ furlongs.
After a day on the Gulf Coast area of Florida, we head back to New York for Thursday’s feature race at Aqueduct. Today’s race is an optional claiming race going 7 furlongs on the dirt which should be fast.
The final leg of the 2024 Triple Crown, the Belmont Stakes, will be run up in the capital region of New York state at Saratoga Race Course. As a result of the configuration of the Saratoga oval, the race will be shortened to a mile and a quarter.
Let’s get out of the cold, raw weather of the Northeastern United States for at least for one day. The Wednesday feature is the finale on the Tampa Bay Downs card in Oldsmar, FL where my good friend Jason Beem will be on the mic for the call of today’s featured race.
For Tuesday, we’re staying at Parx for the sixth race again, I’m still looking to break my maiden here with this segment of Bleacher Brothers, as I am now 0 for 11 right now after nine articles,
I will take a look at my hometown track, Parx Racing as the 6th race is the featured race on the Daily Racing Form site. Let’s take a look at the race, and some other things you should need to know before we get deep into the handicapping.
Sunday is closing day “Where the Turf Meets the Surf” and their closing day feature is the Grade I Matriarch going one mile on the turf course. A full field of 12 fillies and mares is entered for this battle on the Del Mar lawn.

First we’ll take a look at the first race of the day, the Grade III Jimmy Durante, which is a mile race on the turf for two-year-old fillies, and then we’ll look at the seventh race, the Hollywood Derby, which is a Grade III going a mile and one-eighth on the turf.
