I am imagining that in New York, specifically in Ozone Park where the Aqueduct Race Track is, has the same conditions as it is here in Philly, though they are closer to the ocean than the city of Philadelphia is.
After a couple of days of cancellations at Parx, we get out of the cold and snow for the warmer temps of Tampa Bay Downs as we will look at the ninth race on the race
It’s Monday, so that means that we had to my home track Parx Racing for today’s Quills Picks Winners, and surprise, surprise! We are looking at the sixth race on the card, which is a maiden claiming event for 4-year-olds and up
Sunday 1/14/24 – Santa Anita Race 7
We return to the Great Race Place for Sunday’s QPW as we will look at Sunday’s race 7. We’re back on the hillside turf course for the Grade 3 Las Cienegas going about six and a half furlongs
Albert Hammond Jr. says it never rains in southern California, and at least for now, there is no rain there as we head to Santa Anita for two races today. We will take a look at two different California-bred races here as we will look at race 7, which is the Sunshine Millions Filly & Mire Turf Sprint
Let’s head west today as we will stop off at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas for Friday’s eighth race, which is an optional claimer going the Preakness distance of a mile and three sixteenths of a mile. Rain will be falling into the morning hours on Friday, so I would expect a sloppy to muddy track at the Arkansas oval.
After a race Tampa Bay Downs, we had to New York for Thursday’s Quills Picks Winners. Today’s race is the seventh race on an eight-race card at Aqueduct. We have nine fillies and mares aged four-year-olds and up heading to the gate, but we have a rare, coupled entry on our hands today for this six-furlong test.
We had to some drier land today and we’ll take a look at the finale of Wednesday’s Tampa Bay Downs card for today’s QPW. Fillies and mares who are four years old and up are going seven furlongs on the main track here.
We stay at Parx for the Tuesday edition of Quills Picks Winners as we will take a look at the sixth race once again, and with the predictability of the sun rising in the east, the Daily Racing Form chose the sixth race.
