Belmont at Saratoga means shortening the 3rd Triple Crown race, but most are OK with that
The Belmont Stakes is the final test of the Triple Crown — the third resume booster to edge a horse into the history books. It’s not an easy feat.

Do not adjust your computers or phones. We are at Saratoga for the next few days as Saratoga Race Course will be hosting the Belmont Stakes and the Belmont Stakes Festival while Belmont is being renovated. There will be four days of top notch racing as we close out the Triple Crown on Saturday, and the massive amount of stakes races this weekend.
After two night races north of the border, we head somewhat close to home as we head to Delaware Park for Wednesday’s race as we have fillies and mares going 6 furlongs on the main track. Post time for today’s race is scheduled for 4 pm Eastern time.
We stay north of the border at Assiniboia Downs for the QPW and tonight’s race is the Taboga Stakes going 5 furlongs on the main track. The fillies and mares will head to the post late in the evening Eastern time, with an approximate post of 10:15 pm. Note also that there is rain in the forecast that appears to stop around an hour or so before the first post tonight, so expect a sloppy to muddy track.
We head north of the border, and you can tell we are in the month of June when I pull out a race from Assiniboia Downs. Sometimes I wonder if Carmen Sandiego would find this place. For those that don’t know, this is a mostly nighttime track that is in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
After a win in the Jersey Derby, we head out west to Santa Anita for the Desert Stormer, which is a 6-furlong race for older fillies and mares on the main track. Post time for this race is for approximately 7:15 pm Eastern time.
t’s Saturday, which means that I will give you my thoughts on two different races that AJ and I looked at on Also Eligible. Don’t know how to watch Also Eligible? Join us on the Bleacher Brothers Twitch, YouTube and X pages as we break down some of the best races of the weekend on our Saturday show.
We are going to a track that you don’t necessarily hear from that often, and that is Penn National which is in Grantville, Pennsylvania, which is northeast of the state capital, Harrisburg. They have their signature races this evening as we will look at the Penn Mile
Health, history and horses are the three H’s carved into the welcome sign when travelers venturing into New York’s Adirondack Mountains reach Saratoga Springs.
