Owls Fall to Wichita State in five-set Heartbreaker

Florida Atlantic entered the match against Wichita State (9-9, 4-2 AAC) coming off a two match losing streak. The Owls were searching for another AAC victory, and their first conference victory away from Boca Raton. FAU won the first two sets, but could not gain a third victory as they fell to the Shockers 3-2.

Florida Atlantic (pictured above, Angelina LaBelle) traveled to the City of Brotherly Love for their first of two matches against AAC foe Temple (7-9) (1-3). The third matchup of the Owls saw Temple gaining the victory after sweeping Florida Atlantic to gain first AAC victory.

Florida Atlantic hosted East Carolina (8-3) (1-0) for their first conference match of the season Friday night. The Owls had a dominant first set, but the Pirates had a tight grip on the match as ECU won 3-1 in the AAC conference opener.
