2023-2024 AAC Tournament: FAU looks to prepare for 2 totally different quarter-final opponents 

The second chapter of FAUs season has come to an end, as following non-conference and conference play the Owls and the rest of the NCAA pivot to tourney time. Before the big dance however, the Owls have the opportunity to play in the AAC tournament and have the second overall seed which means a double-bye, and a few days of rest and preparation before their first matchup on Friday.

FAU Score Season High 24 In FIU Series Finale

After dropping game two at FIU, the Owls came in determined to take the series finale. FAU’s offense looked to come alive as FIU shut-out the Owls lineup after the first inning of game two. The Owls bats would hit for a season high 24 runs against the Panthers in the rubber match, and take the series two games to one.

FAU vs Memphis preview: A battle for bragging rights and a whole lot more

For FAU, if they are able to come out on top, it silences any Bracketology doubters in terms of the Owls ability to receive an at-large bid, which they most likely already have, however a win would put that to lock status. A win also guarantees the team the #2 seed in the AAC, and possibility sets up a bracket to where a matchup with USF could be in-store in the finals of the tournament.

Following their matchup against Florida on Tuesday getting canceled, FAU had the week to get prepared for their weekend set against FIU.
