Two pairs for the Sandy Owls traveled to Huntsville, Alabama to play in the AVCA Fall Collegiate Beach Championships. A cold weekend in South Alabama had intense competition, including the two pairs from FAU finishing in the top thirty of the tournament.
Florida Atlantic has fired head coach Tom Herman in just his second season, multiple outlets reported Monday. Associate head coach Chad Lunsford will be named interim head coach for the Owls’ final two games. Herman finishes with a 6-16 record

The Owls played for the last time in Paradise this season, including five seniors on senior day. The team that traveled to paradise was Tulane (14-14, 6-10 AAC). AAC tournament seeding and earning a spot in the tournament was on the mind of the two squads with a win or loss for Florida Atlantic deciding either a sixth or seventh seed
After a heartbreaking double OT loss to Charleston less than 24 hours ago, FAU matched up with Liberty and the Owls fought back from down 12 in the first half, ultimately forcing overtime once again and going on to win 77–74.

The Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman (1-3) made the three hour trip south to Paradise as Florida Atlantic played their last home game at the Elly until Thanksgiving weekend. A strong start to the contest provided the momentum for the rest of the game as FAU dominated the Wildcats to close out the home stand 3-0.
