The Owls took a trip to San Antonio to face off against UTSA (9-18, 3-11 AAC). A struggling Roadrunners squad were playing their last home game so it was Senior Day at the Convocation Center. That was all the momentum needed to gain a dominant victory against FAU in a sweeping fashion.
In search of a bounce back victory, Florida Atlantic hosted Temple (11-15, 3-9 AAC) in Paradise. The first time the two teams met FAU fell to Temple 3-0, it was time for Florida Atlantic to earn the win this time around.
After facing off ten days ago, the Owls traveled to South Florida (13-9, 9-2 AAC) in hopes of earning the season sweep. In the previous match between the two Florida Atlantic dominated, upsetting the Bulls 3-1. This time around though, USF got the better of FAU, earning the final three sets in a 3-1 victory.
Florida Atlantic’s road trip continued in North Carolina as they faced Charlotte (4-19, 1-9 AAC) in hopes of gaining a road victory. The Queen City did not wear the crown today as the Owls earned a commanding victory over the 49ers.
A road losing streak, and a home winning streak were on the line as Florida Atlantic faced off against ECU (14-6, 7-3 AAC). The Owls had no answer for the Pirates as ECU dominated the match from start to finish.
A busy weekend at the Elly brought the top two teams in the AAC to Paradise. After sweeping second place Rice, FAU turned to USF (11-8, 7-1 AAC). The Bulls brought their seven match win streak and top spot in the American to Boca Raton, but that was no worry for the Owls as FAU flew past South Florida 3-1.
After a three-match losing streak FAU hosted Rice (11-6, 6-2 AAC) to Paradise. Rice came into the match in second place in the AAC trying to keep up with USF. Florida Atlantic rode the energy the Elly gave them to blank Rice 3-0 as an important weekend of conference play began.
Florida Atlantic entered the match against Wichita State (9-9, 4-2 AAC) coming off a two match losing streak. The Owls were searching for another AAC victory, and their first conference victory away from Boca Raton. FAU won the first two sets, but could not gain a third victory as they fell to the Shockers 3-2.
Florida Atlantic (pictured above, Angelina LaBelle) traveled to the City of Brotherly Love for their first of two matches against AAC foe Temple (7-9) (1-3). The third matchup of the Owls saw Temple gaining the victory after sweeping Florida Atlantic to gain first AAC victory.
