Pablo Sandoval Attempting MLB Comeback

By CJ Carlson

Pablo Sandoval hasn’t played an MLB game in over three years but that’s not stopping him from attempting a comeback. The former All-Star is hoping to get back into the swing of things as soon as possible, though it’s hard to see if he’s even going to be productive, if given the opportunity at all.

So far, Sandoval has been reported to be attending camp alongside the San Francisco Giants, with him being listed as aa non-roster invitee. Most of the people that are close to Sandoval and the Giants believe that this is a genuine wish for him to compete at the highest level again. It’s not just a final send-off or a goodbye, Sandoval simply wants to compete again.

Throughout his career, Sandoval was criticized an awful lot for his weight issues. Apparently, that’s not an issue anymore. Reports say that he’s slimmed down significantly and has been telling his friends that he’s in phenomenal shape. Despite being 37 years old, he could be turning a corner physically.

Pablo Sandoval Might Have Some Juice Left In Him

Sandoval

When Sandoval stopped playing in the MLB, he got a ton of recognition over in both Mexico and Dubai, catching the attention of a lot of people. If he’s to be given another opportunity in the MLB, he might bring a lot of eyes with him as they hope to see him get back to playing solid baseball.

While I mentioned earlier that nobody believes this will be a final send-off, the Giants are the last team to have Sandoval appear at the plate 100 times throughout a season. That came back in 2019, when he hit 14 home runs in what was his second stint with San Francisco over the course of his career.

Now, it’s a longshot for him to even make it out of Spring camp for the Giants, but at least he’s going to be given the opportunity that he’s been looking for. We’ll see in due time what he’s able to make of it.
