Jalen Milroe passed for 215 yards and rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown as No. 15 Alabama defeated No. 21 Missouri 34-0 on Saturday in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Milroe completed 16 of 25 passes as the Crimson Tide (6-2, 3-2 Southeastern Conference) outgained the Tigers (6-2, 2-2) 486-239.
Justice Haynes rushed for 79 yards and one touchdown and Jam Miller rushed for 50 yards and two TDs for Alabama. Graham Nicholson kicked 47- and 39-yard field goals.
Missouri quarterback Brady Cook, playing with an ankle injury, was 7-of-12 passing for just 30 yards before exiting with a hand injury.
Drew Pyne replaced Cook and was 6 of 12 for 43 yards and three interceptions.
Alabama scored on its first possession, driving 50 yards on eight plays to set up Nicholson’s 47-yard field goal.
The Crimson Tide netted just 13 yards on their next three possessions before mounting a 59-yard drive to make it 6-0. Milroe hit 26- and 21-yard completions to Germie Bernard to set up Nicholson’s 39-yard field goal.
Pyne relieved Cook at quarterback and was intercepted by Malachi Moore, who returned the ball 31 yards to the Missouri 35.
Alabama took advantage to push its lead to 13-0. Milroe completed a 28-yard pass to Emmanuel Henderson, setting up Miller’s 3-yard touchdown run.
Missouri tried to get on the board at the end of the first half, but Blake Craig missed a 49-yard field goal.
Alabama opened the second half by moving 80 yards to increase its lead to 20-0. Milroe propelled the drive with a 32-yard run and capped it with a 9-yard TD run.
After another Pyne interception, Alabama capitalized with a 65-yard drive and Miller’s 11-yard touchdown run for a 27-0 lead.
The Crimson Tide made it 34-0 with Haynes’ 35-yard touchdown run.
Alabama made a goal-line stand, stuffing Missouri on a fourth-and-1 play with 4:19 left, to secure the shutout.
