Scuilla’s Sharp, College Football Bets of Week 9:

The week 9 slate of college football is among us. The wagon that we always tail Army is on bye this week, that is unfortunate so we will have to make up for it with more winners. Last week I unfortunately went 3-4. Losing weeks are inexcusable, that brings my record up to 23-18 (56% hit rate). On the bright side, my bet of the week hit so we are 5-0 on bets of the week. It’s time to get back on the winning side of the board, let’s get into it.

Over 66 UNT vs Tulane:

This is my bet of the week, we are 5-0 on bets of the week since starting them. North Texas hates playing defense, they run a 3 down lineman front where every offense they face can feast in the run and passing game. On the other side of the ball, North Texas scores at will, they have one of the best passing games in group of 5 football. Tulane also has an electric offense that can match this. 66 seems like a lot of points, but North Texas consistently plays in these types of games.

UCF ML -110 vs BYU:

Someones gotta take down BYU, I have a feeling it could be UCF. UCF has been playing close tight games against some of the best in the Big 12 all year. I think they are hungry for a win after losing to a top 10 team in the country by 3 points last year. Gus Malzahn is a good football coach, and the team looked good last week against Iowa State.

Illinois +21.5 vs Oregon:

Illinois has been a consistent cover all year, and has played some really good football teams close. Illinois played in a similar game like this and covered easily against Penn State, 21.5 points is too much for me. I think Oregon wins but does not cover.

Navy +13 vs Notre Dame:

This is going to be a great game, this might be the only team I have on my TV this Saturday. Navy has covered the spread every single week this year, they have been as impressive as they could show this year. This is their second huge test after beating Memphis earlier in the year. Navy gets Notre Dame at home and is extremely good in controlling the clock and dominating the run game. I think 13 points is too much for Notre Dame to cover, and I think there is a real chance Navy can win this football game.

LSU +2.5 vs Texas A&M:

LSU and the Nuss Buss have been on absolute fire since losing week 1 to USC. Notre Dame has gone into College Station and beat the 12th man, I think LSU has a real chance to do the same. They are also underdogs, a one point loss and this bet still hits, I wouldn’t hate moving the line up to 3.5 if you get the chance as well.

Liberty -25 vs Kennesaw State:

The line opened at 23 and is at 25 now, this is for a reason. Kennesaw State is the newest FBS program in the country, and they are 0-6. This includes a loss to FCS school UT Martin. If Liberty claims to be as good as they are, covering 25 points against the worst team in the country should be no issue.
