Meyer Shank Racing w/Curb Agajanian Confirms 2025 Driver Lineup in IMSA

The 2025 driver lineup is set for Meyer Shank Racing with Curb Agajanian, and it features a familiar duo and one surprise pairing.

Colin Braun and Tom Blomqvist return for the 2025 campaign, set to field the #60 Acura ARX-06, the entry that both drivers drove in 2023, while the brand-new #93 entry is set to feature now-former Cadillac Racing driver Regner van der Zande and former RLL BMW driver Nick Yelloly.

Braun and Blomqvist bring back a lot of success to the team in their previous stint, winning three races in 2023, including the Rolex 24.

This past season, both Braun and Blomqvist would still be involved within IMSA. Braun would run with George Kurtz in the LMP2 class for a full-season entry in the #04 Crowdstrike Racing w/APR ORECA, while Blomqvist stayed in the GTP class with the 2023 championship-winning team, Whelen Cadillac Racing, in an endurance race role.

Both drivers also made starts in the NTT IndyCar Series this year, with Blomqvist running in the Indianapolis 500.

As for Regner van der Zande and Nick Yelloly, both drivers have had major success with their respective brands, making the move quite a shocking one.

Van der Zande spent seven seasons under the Cadillac umbrella, securing two Rolex 24 wins with Wayne Taylor Racing. Nick Yelloly also spent seven seasons with his respective manufacturer in BMW, spending the last three seasons with Team RLL. Yelloly would capture a 24 Hours of Spa victory during his time with BMW and bring the brand their first GTP win last season at Watkins Glen.

“We’re really looking forward to getting back to work in IMSA, and we’re excited to expand our relationship with HRC and Acura to run two GTPs next year,” said Team Owner Mike Shank. “Putting Tom and Colin back in the drivers seat just made sense. The two of them had an incredible season in ’23, and I think that’s just cracking the surface on what they can accomplish together. And then with the addition of Renger and Nick, they both have extensive prototype experience and have shown a lot of strength the last few seasons, so I think they will be a big asset to the team.”

Among the two pairings, the most intriguing has to be Regner and Nick.

Both van der Zande and Yelloly have had a lot of success with their respective manufacturers across the past several years, so it will be interesting to see how the two gel within a returning team and a new brand.

But, overall, the pairings for 2025 for MSR look to be one of the stronger on the grid in the GTP field.

Obviously, Braun and Blomqvist had a lot of success together in 2023, but the addition of van der Zande and Yelloly makes this team one of the stronger groups of sportscar drivers amongst the rest of the field in terms of driving abilities.

It will be interesting to see Meyer Shank Racing make their return come 2025 at Daytona, a track that they won back-to-back Rolex 24 titles at.
