Week 7 NFL Power Rankings

32. New England Patriots (1-5):

Drake Maye had a very promising first game. This Patriots team is still the worst in the league despite that though.

31. Carolina Panthers (1-5):

It would not be surprising to see Carolina go without another win this year. They may give Bryce Young another chance as the starter soon enough.

30. Cleveland Browns (1-5):

Deshaun Watson is a terrible quarterback. The Browns will be looking to draft a top tier quarterback in April.

29. Tennessee Titans (1-4):

Will Levis is comically bad. The Titans aren’t going anywhere with Will under center, they’re in the same boat as Cleveland.

28. Las Vegas Raiders (2-4):

After trading Davante Adams this team is truly hopeless. The Raiders need to draft a young quarterback as well in April and should strongly consider trading Maxx Crosby as well. Maybe Tom Brady will help turn this franchise around.

27. New York Giants (2-4):

The Giants defensive line is extraordinary. Sadly an offense led by Daniel Jones isn’t going to find success. The Giants may be just a quarterback away though.

26. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5):

Trevor played a near perfect 1st half against Chicago, but the coaching and consistency around him is too much baggage. It’s a wonder how Doug Pederson and Press Taylor still have a job.

25. New Orleans Saints (2-4):

It’s about time to declare that the Saints were pretenders. Maybe they will bounce back when Derek Carr is back, but I wouldn’t bet on it.

24. Seattle Seahawks (3-3):

Seattle was barely scraping by against subpar competition the first 3 weeks. Now that they have played competitive teams they’ve rolled over. I expect this trend to continue for Geno Smith and Seattle.

23. Arizona Cardinals (2-4):

Arizona has tons of great young pieces to build around. This simply isn’t their year, but I expect Arizona to continue growing especially as they add Zay Jones to the offense this week.

22. Dallas Cowboys (3-3):

The Cowboys got embarrassed by the Lions. This isn’t the same old Cowboys, Dallas has proven this season they can’t compete with top tier teams.

21. Los Angeles Rams (1-4):

Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua return soon. The Rams may be able to get healthy and turn this season around before it’s too late.

20. New York Jets (2-4):

Trading for Davante Adams is sure to give the offense a boost. However, the Jets have looked awful against any competitive team. There’s still plenty to fix for the Jets if they want to compete.

19. Indianapolis Colts (3-3):

Once the Colts get healthy they could be an extremely scary opponent. That potential success will lay on the shoulders of Anthony Richardson.

18. Denver Broncos (3-3):

The Broncos defense is extremely good. With Bo Nix improving every week Denver could sneak into the wildcard in a weak conference. The offensive weapons need to improve, but a potential emergence of Troy Franklin could be a great bump.

17. Miami Dolphins (2-3):

With plenty of teams struggling in the AFC the Dolphins aren’t far behind. If Tua comes back healthy the Fins could easily jump back into contention.

16. Chicago Bears (4-2):

Caleb Williams is getting better and better every single week. The competition as of late has been awful defensively though, and that trend continues against Washington, Arizona, and New England. We will have to wait until late in the season to see how he performs against a good defense.

15. Philadelphia Eagles (3-2):

The Eagles are scraping away with a winning record but they need to step up the performance. The roster for Philly is impeccable, but coaching is a major concern.

14. Los Angeles Chargers (3-2):

Largely thanks to JK Dobbins and the defense, the Chargers were able to get through Denver with a win. If Herbert and the passing offense doesn’t step up I will have major questions on how good the Chargers are though.

13. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2):

The Steelers defense is maybe the best in the league. Justin Fields looks good but he badly needs another quality weapon to throw to if this team wants to be a real competitor.

12. Cincinnati Bengals (2-4):

The Bengals record is behind but Joe Burrow is playing like an MVP candidate and the offense is loaded. I expect Cincinnati to go on a win streak and quickly prove to be a top tier team.

11. San Francisco 49ers (3-3):

The injury riddled 49ers are finally starting to get healthy. Once the 49ers are healthy they are easily one of the top Super Bowl competitors, whether or not they stay healthy is the concern.

10. Green Bay Packers (4-2):

Matt LaFleur is an offensive mastermind and is going to take this team a far way no matter the adversity. With a healthy Jordan Love and Jayden Reed this team is a terrifying opponent.

9. Washington Commanders (4-2):

Jayden Daniels is extraordinary and easily has made Washington look like the best NFC East team. They will be a legit threat for the long term, however I don’t believe they will be true contenders quite yet.

8. Atlanta Falcons (4-2):

Kirk Cousins and the Falcons are finally coming along strongly. I expect this team to continue improving as they meld together. Keeping Bijan Robinson rolling will be crucial to being a top team.

7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2):

Baker Mayfield is playing like an MVP candidate leading the league in touchdowns with 15 to just 5 interceptions. 3 of those interceptions came against New Orleans in a game they won 51-27 with Baker throwing 4 touchdowns. Overall the Bucs have been extremely impressive and are only getting better as players such as Bucky Irving come along.

6. Houston Texans (5-1):

I still have a slight concern about Houston being that they’ve only beat 1 top team. That being against Buffalo in a close game that Houston won by 3 points in which Josh Allen was playing hurt. The Texans are without a doubt a great team, but I’m not ready to set their expectations for the Super Bowl.

5. Buffalo Bills (4-2):

Josh Allen is the 2nd best quarterback in the league and they just added a star receiver in Amari Cooper. This offense proved that it can be dominant without a pristine wideout, now that they’ve added one Buffalo is terrifying. Assuming Cooper will function with the team better than Diggs, the Bills are certainly a top threat in the AFC.

4. Baltimore Ravens (4-2):

Lamar and the Ravens have been on a tear after starting out 0-2. They are easily one of the top teams in the league but it’s impossible to move them over any of the top 3 teams.

3. Detroit Lions (4-1):

Don’t squat with your spurs on Dallas! The Detroit Lions have been dominating everybody recently and Ben Johnson is in his bag of offensive genius play designs. The Lions are without a doubt one of the top competitors in the NFC, but Aidan Hutchinson’s injury will take a toll.

2. Kansas City Chiefs (5-0):

Will Levis stole the title for most interceptions thrown from Mahomes during the Chiefs bye week. That doesn’t change the fact that Kansas City’s offense needs to step up though. Mahomes and the Chiefs are without a doubt the top dogs in the AFC but with underwhelming play, too many turnovers, injuries, and controversial refereeing the Chiefs are somewhat suspect right now.

1. Minnesota Vikings (5-0):

The other undefeated team also had a bye week. Sam Darnold is still an MVP candidate, the Vikings defense has played like the best in the league, and the coaching across the board is fantastic. The Vikings have consistently been the most impressive team so far this season.
