NFL Power Rankings (10/08)

32. New England Patriots (1-3)

Without Tua Tagovailoa, it is apparent the Dolphins cannot beat a single team in the NFL. They lost to the Mason Rudolph led Tennessee Titans at home by 19 points.

31. Miami Dolphins (2-3)

The Titans got their first win of the Brian Callahan era, they knew what they had to do. Control the run game and you will beat the Tua-less Dolphins.

30. Tennessee Titans (1-4)

The Titans are going to struggle for the remainder of the year, their team isn’t doing first year head coach Brian Callahan any favors. He has his hands completely full.

29. Cleveland Browns (1-4)

The Browns are in hell right now, they can’t bench Watson because of how much they are paying him. Jameis Winston is the better player than Watson right now, I would love to see him get a chance.

28. Carolina Panthers (1-4)

The Panthers are back to the crapshoot we knew they would be, they are lucky not to be 0-5 right now.

27. Las Vegas Raiders (2-3)

This Raiders team just lost Christian Wilkins, it is a brutal loss for them losing a stud defensive tackle. They will be drafting in the top 10 of the NFL draft.

26. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-4)

The Jaguars finally won a football game! Brian Thomas Jr is so good, the Jaguars should be thanking many teams for letting him fall to them in the 2024 NFL draft.

25. New York Giants (2-3)

Brian Daboll put together a really good gameplan to beat a decent Seattle team. The Isaiah Simmons blocked kick was a crazy way to end the game, but was it legal? I believe so, he didn’t jump over anybody, he jumped around people if anything.

24. New Orleans Saints (2-3)

The Saints are letting their season get away from them, they played awful this week. They did not have a good game plan coming into this one. Coaching needs to be better, they had a chance against Kansas City.

23. Las Angeles Rams (1-4)

The injuries continue to pile for the Rams, and they continue to be unable to win the close game. Sean McVay has to figure something out soon, this team had expectations for this year.

22. Indianapolis Colts (2-3)

The Colts gave the Jaguars their first win of the season, that’s never a good thing. Joe Flacco played hard, the defense needed to stop giving up the explosive plays. They let Brian Thomas Jr behind him way too easy.

21. Las Angeles Chargers (2-2)

John Harbaugh is a good coach, but the Chargers need to do better putting an explosive football team on the field. They need more weapons in order to succeed on offense. Until then, they will just be a below average football team for the year.

20. Chicago Bears (3-2)

The Bears showed that the Carolina Panthers aren’t even in their weight class. Caleb Williams played a great game and found DJ Moore in the endzone.

19. Cincinnati Bengals (1-4)

At some point, the Bengals need to find a way to win the football game. I understand they played the Ravens, but they were at home. WIN, and they will be moved up this list. No moral victories for them.

18. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2)

This is the Steelers I expected to see this year, Fields is not a good quarterback and will hold his team back until he proves otherwise.

17. Denver Broncos (3-2)

Sean Payton and Bo Nix are finding their footing right now, they are a good match for each other. I think they will be alright at best this year, but look out for them in the future.

16. Seattle Seahawks (3-2)

Tough loss for the Seahawks, they could have sent the game to overtime with a game tying kick. They need to play more sound defense against the run and against play action throws. The Lions and Giants both killed the Seahawks there.

15. New York Jets (2-3)

Robert Saleh is gone, was that the problem? Rodgers has the Jets organization grabbed by the neck, it’s an interesting situation. We will see if they crumble or if they thrive now.

14. Arizona Cardinals (2-3)

Kyler Murray played very well and brought the Cardinals the win against the 49ers. If the Cardinals defense can play better, the Cardinals can be a top 10 team in the NFL soon.

13. Dallas Cowboys (3-2)

A win is a win, that’s the motto for Dallas as of now. The Steelers are scrappy so escaping with a win is a good thing. Dak needs to clean up his turnovers, they are catching up to him.

12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2)

It was a tough close overtime loss for the Buccs, they were playing on the road in Atlanta and almost came away with a win. Almost isn’t good enough though, they need to close out games if they want to be a serious player in the NFC.

11. Philadelphia Eagles (2-2)

The Eagles had a much needed bye week. They will get some of their starters back for a game against the Browns, they should win this weekend.

10. Green Bay Packers (3-2)

Jordan Love is back, the turnovers are still there but so are the explosive plays. Love throws a beautiful deep ball.

9. Atlanta Falcons (3-2)

Kirk Cousins is on fire this year, he fits like a glove in Zac Robinsons offense. He threw for over 500 yards last Thursday.

8. San Francisco 49ers (2-3)

San Francisco dropped a tough one against Arizona this past Sunday, they could not stop the Kyler Murray show. They need to find a way to get their edge back.

7. Buffalo Bills (3-2)

Wow, there are a lot of emotions running through Bills fans’ minds from this past weekend. Josh Allen looked rough pre concussion, and did not look good post concussion. That is a situation to look out for, as well as how the Bills go about their receiver issues.

6. Washington Commanders (4-1)

Jayden Daniels is the runaway rookie of the year favorite and rightfully so, he’s been outstanding. Washington’s offense is fun and has been clicking, the Daniels to McLaurin connection is real.

5. Houston Texans (4-1)

It was a big test for Houston, and they took it to Buffalo winning in overtime. Head coach Demeco Ryans had a great game plan to stop Josh Allen, they eliminated his deep ball and it worked.

4. Baltimore Ravens (3-2)

The Ravens won an overtime thriller against the Bengals this past Sunday, It isn’t often that Bengals kicker Evan McPherson misses a kick, but Baltimore took advantage of it.

3. Minnesota Vikings (5-0)

The Vikings remain undefeated! And they get Robert Saleh fired in the process too, what a weekend.

2. Detroit Lions (3-1)

The Lions are coming off a bye, and should be ready for their big game against the Cowboys on the 13th.

1. Kansas City Chiefs (5-0)

The Kansas City Chiefs remain unbeaten, their team is loaded and Andy Reid is the best offense mind in the NFL.
