Miami to host Clemson in ACC opener

Coral Gables, FL.- Earlier this evening, the ACC announced the official slate of games for the 2024-25 season conference opening weekend.

Following the conference’s expansion, with the additions of SMU from the AAC alongside Stanford and Cal from the PAC-12, this will be the first year the ACC will boast an 18 program conference.

As far as the University of Miami is concerned, the Hurricanes will begin conference play on Saturday, December 7th, where they will host the Clemson Tigers at the Watsco Center. This game will be nationally televised on ESPN2, as tip off is slated for 12 P.M. EST.

This isn’t the first time these squads have clashed to open ACC play, as they have met three times. Miami is currently 2-1 against the Tigers on opening weekend, with the most recent meeting being during the 2021-22 season, where the ‘Canes defeated Clemson 80-75.

Miami is currently 9-11 during ACC openers, holding a 6-6 record at the Watsco Center.

The remainder of Miami’s conference schedule will be announced tomorrow, September 24th on the ACC Network’s live stream. The feed will begin at 8:00 P.M.
