4 Player Props for the September 20th MLB Slate

After a rather up and down start to the week, we head into this weekend with four player props to hopefully get us back in the win column.

Washington Nationals at Chicago Cubs

Trevor Williams (5-0) vs. Jameson Taillon (10-8)

Cody Bellinger Over 1.5 Total Bases

Bellinger has been hitting very well recently, recording three multi-hit performances in his last five games. Against Trevor Williams, Bellinger has a .385 batting average, with five hits in 13 at bats. Bellinger has four extra base hits against Williams, with two being home runs. Fresh off of a two-hit game last night, Bellinger will look to be a big contributor to this Cubs lineup yet again against a favorable righty-lefty matchup.

Philadelphia Phillies at New York Mets

Christopher Sanchez (10-9) vs. David Peterson (9-2)

Jose Iglesias to record 2+ Hits (+190)

One of the hottest hitters in baseball currently is Jose Iglesias. He’s been incredible for the Mets this season, and in his last seven games has recorded 13 hits. This makes taking the over on this hit prop line intriguing as he’s also had three multi-hit performances in his last five games. At +190 odds on some sportsbooks, this is a great value play for one of the better contact hitters in the league this season.

Seattle Mariners at Texas Rangers

George Kirby (12-11) vs. Jacob deGrom (0-0)

George Kirby Under 2.5 Earned Runs

Kirby’s been pitching very well lately, going at least five innings pitched in every one of his last four starts. His last start was against the Rangers, where he went seven innings pitched giving up no runs while allowing only one hit. Against a Rangers lineup that hits .212 against Kirby, the under 2.5 earned runs line seems like a good play.

San Francisco Giants at Kansas City Royals

Mason Black (0-4) vs. Michael Wacha (13-7)

Michael Wacha Under 5.5 Hits Allowed

The Giants have not been producing well offensively as of late, recording a .564 OPS over the last seven days. Micahel Wacha has been a solid piece to this Royals rotation all season long, and in the second half especially has been able to put together great outings. These final stretches of games are crucial to secure a Wildcard spot for Kansas City, and a good start from Wacha is needed. Against a lineup that has not been producing well lately, Wacha should be able to stay under the 5.5 hit total.
