MLB Props Analysis: Mets vs. Phillies Game One & Additional Props

The Mets welcome in the first place Phillies for a weekend four game series they simply need to win. They can secure the second Wildcard spot in the National League if they’re able to pull out wins this weekend. With the Diamondbacks starting a tough series against the Milwaukee Brewers, the Mets can really cover some ground at home with this four game set.

Game One SGP (+329)

Taijuan Walker (3-6) vs. Luis Severino (10-6)

J.D. Martinez Over 0.5 Hits, Luisangel Acuna Over 0.5 Hits, and Taijuan Walker Over 4.5 Hits Allowed

Against Taijuan Walker, J.D. Martinez has posted good numbers. Although he’s currently in a slump with his last hit dating back to September 9th, he’s hit for a .389 batting average against Walker in 18 at bats.

Since coming up to the major leagues, Luisangel Acuna has been great for New York. Coming off of two multi-hit games in a row on top of already having a hit against Walker, Acuna is another solid pick from this Mets lineup to record a hit.

Taijuan Walker in many recent starts doesn’t go more than three innings, often not giving enough time to reach this over 4.5 line. The Mets offense is currently coming off of a 20-1 stretch of two games where the offense exploded for 25 hits. Against Walker with a 7.03 ERA on the road, the Mets could stay hot at the plate tonight.

Los Angeles Dodgers at Miami Marlins

Jack Flaherty (12-7) vs. Edward Cabrera (4-7)

Max Muncy Over 0.5 Hits

Besides Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy has the most at bats against the Marlins starter Edward Cabrera with six. In those six at bats, Muncy has three hits, one home run, and three RBI. He puts by far the best numbers up against Cabrera, and coming off of a hitless game will be looking to produce for this Dodgers lineup.

Boston Red Sox at Tampa Bay Rays

Brayan Bello (14-7) vs. Zack Littell (7-9)

Josh Lowe Over 1.5 Total Bases

At plus odds, this seems like a great prop to take the way Lowe has been hitting recently. He’s coming off two multi-hit games in a row and against Brayan Bello, hits .467 with two doubles, a home run, and four RBI. A .328 hitter against Boston, Lowe is a solid pick with great value to record at least two total bases.
