NFL Power Rankings (9/17)

32. Denver Broncos (0-2)

Sean Payton has his work cut out for him in year 2 with the Broncos. Rookie Bo Nix has looked like a rookie, and there aren’t too many studs at other spots on the team to carry the load.

31. Carolina Panthers (0-2)

Bryce Young might officially be a bust, the Panthers are one of the worst teams in the NFL. Veteran signal caller Andy Dalton will get the start this upcoming week.

30. New York Giants (0-2)

The Giants had a chance for the Commanders, maybe with a healthy kicker they would have won last week’s game. Conversations are stirring about Brian Daboll, he’s entering the coaching hot seat.

29. Indianapolis Colts (0-2)

Anthony Richardson played the worst game of his professional career today, he needs to clean it up or the Colts will remain one of the bottom five teams in the league.

28. New England Patriots (1-1)

The Patriots are competitive and scrappy, but they do not have the firepower just yet. They could give the Jets a scare this week.

27. Tennessee Titans (0-2)

The Will Levis rollercoaster ride continues, he needs to do a better job executing and cutting the rookie mistakes.

26. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-2)

Jacksonville took a step back after a promising week one game against Miami. Cleveland’s defense buried Trevor Lawrence and won the day.

25. Washington Commanders (1-1)

Jayden Daniels looks like the best rookie quarterback from his draft class, Washington has potential to win games this year with their rookie sensation.

24. Chicago Bears (1-1)

Rookie Caleb Williams has not looked like the superstar many thought he would be by now. Keenan Allen was hurt this week however, and his offensive line played poor. Give Chicago some time, but they are not playoff contenders just yet.

23. Las Vegas Raiders (1-1)

Mishew mania is taking over in Vegas, the Raiders pulled off a gritty tough win at Baltimore. Maxx Crosby and Christian Wilkins are quite the duo on the defensive line.

22. Cleveland Browns (1-1)

Cleveland won with their defense this week against Jacksonville, unless Watson returns to his Houston playing form they will need to win games this way.

21. Los Angeles Rams (0-2)

Tough start for Sean McVay and his staff, and the road does not get much easier with Cooper Kupp getting placed on injured reserve.

20. Los Angeles Chargers (2-0)

The Chargers are undefeated, and have relied on a strong run game and tough defense to win games. Until they get Justin Herbert some more receiving help this is their recipe for success.

19. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-0)

The Steelers defense might just be the best defense in the league, and TJ Watt might just be the best defensive player in the league. They will play some more talented offenses but they still deserve their props.

18. Cincinnati Bengals (0-2)

After an inexcusable loss to the Patriots week one, Cincy couldn’t bounce back at Arrowhead. They need to figure some things out on both sides of the ball if they want to give teams like Kansas City and Buffalo a fight come playoff time.

17. Miami Dolphins (1-1)

Tua Tagovailoa has been placed on injured reserve, until then they need Skylar Thompson or Tyler Huntley to hold the fort down. 0-4 during Tua’s rehab process would be devastating.

16. Seattle Seahawks (2-0)

The Mike MacDonald era is here in Seattle, they catch a break playing a Dolphins team without Tua Tagovailoa this week. They should come out with a win this week.

15.  Atlanta Falcons (1-1)

Kirk Cousins looked like a different person in his 2 minute drill against the Eagles, he played outstanding. The Falcons have a chance in the NFC this year.

14. Baltimore Ravens (0-2)

Rough start for the Ravens, a bounce back win last week would have been nice. The Raiders were able to pressure Lamar Jackson and pick apart Baltimore’s defense.

13. Arizona Cardinals (1-1)

Kyler Murray is back to the Kyler Murray everyone knew and loved. Kyler connected with Marvin Harrison Jr to get the rookie his first touchdown.

12. Green Bay Packers (1-1)

It was a good bounce back win for the Pack, their new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley has been aggressive and it worked against Indiannapolis.

11.  New York Jets (1-1)

Any time you beat a team on the road by seven points you will take it, the game was close but the Jets brought home the win.

10. Dallas Cowboys (1-1)

Dallas took a beating against what looks like a good Saints team this year. If Dallas plays like that they won’t be the NFC contender people thought they were before the season.

9. Philadelphia Eagles (1-1)

Tough loss at home to take yesterday. The defense needs to do a better job with two minutes left, and Jalen Hurts cannot throw that interception on the last drive.

8. New Orleans Saints (2-0)

Are the Saints back? I am not sure, but they have earned the right to be called a top 10 team in the NFL currently.

7. Buffalo Bills (2-0)

The Bills did what they always do last Thursday, they showed Miami who runs the AFC East. A 21 point victory on the road is very impressive.

6. Minnesota Vikings (2-0)

The Vikings have a great system to win football games. Both offensive mind Kevin O’Connell and defensive mind Brian Flores coach their units extremely well.

5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0)

Gritty, tough, earned win for Tampa Bay in Detroit, impressive job by Baker Mayfield and the defense for showing up.

4. Detroit Lions (1-1)

Detroit needs to get Amon Ra St-Brown and Sam LaPorta more involved on offense, otherwise they are still one of the toughest teams to play in the league.

3. Houston Texans (2-0)

CJ Stroud is the truth, and he has a bunch of new toys to play with in his offense. He makes all his receivers better and vice versa.

2. San Francisco 49ers (1-1)

San Francisco took a loss this week but will still be the top team in the NFC this year. When Christian MCcCaffrey comes back to play they will be lethal.

1. Kansas City Chiefs (2-0)

The best quarterback in the league, the best head coach in the league, and an elite defense. The Chiefs are the top team in the NFL currently.
