Four players for Warriors combined for 72 points

The Warriors had four players that scored a combined 72 points. Jonathan Kuminga who had 28 points then followed by Brandin Podziemski who scored 23 points then after that Klay Thompson who 21 points. Compared to the Bucks 84 combined points. The points that kicked off Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 33 points. Newly acquired player from the offseason is Damian Lillard who scored 27 points. The last player who stands out is Khris Middleton who had 24 points.

Brandin Podziemski scores big on homecoming

The Warriors rookie Brandin Podziemski returned to his home state to play his first NBA game and he grew up only 20 minutes away from where the Milwaukee Bucks played. In 2021 Podziemski was named Mr. Basketball in his senior year of high school.

Podziemski finished the game with a tied career high 23 points and he recorded his third career double double and Podziemski grabbed ten rebounds. Podziemski made two dunks and he nailed a three over Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard.

Second Unit scoring

The Warriors reserve players outscored the Bucks reserve players 27 to eight in the first half and helped the Warriors have a two point lead. Trayce Jackson-Davis was the leader of all the points off any of the reserves players with ten points and shooting five for six. While Jonathan Kuminga added nine of his own during this second unit scoring. Lester Quinones of who scored five points within seven minutes.

For the game the Warriors bench outscored the Bucks 49 to 23. This is the 31st time this season that the Warriors bench out sourcing the other team’s bench players. The Warriors are playing without Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Chris Paul, Moses Moody and Gary Payton II.

Next for the Warriors

The Warriors will travel to play the Memphis Grizzlies on Martin Luther King day on Monday. The tipoff for the game is set to be at 3pm pacific time.
