After a quiet rookie season at Dale Coyne Racing and Rick Ware Racing, Sting Ray Robb has now found a new home competing with AJ Foyt Racing in the #41 for next season.
Robb, who finished a season best 12th in the finale at Laguna Seca, will look towards getting back to the top in open-wheel racing, ending in 2nd in 2022 with Andretti in what was IndyLights.
There is no question that Sting Ray has the capability to bring home results given his past success in open wheel racing, but, it will be interesting to see how Robb performs behind the wheel of a Foyt entry.
AJ Foyt Racing may not be among the big dogs on the grid, but, the team can definitely hold their own against the other competitors, being an outside contender for top tens.
With this move for AJ Foyt Racing, much speculation came in regards to fellow Foyt driver, Benjamin Pederson.
Although rumors circulated that Pederson may be leaving the team now that Robb is joining the faction, Pederson seems to be sticking around the paddock with the group for 2024, indicating that on his social media page.
While Robb and Pederson may not be the strongest tandem on grid when comparing them to the other groupings, AJ Foyt Racing has potential for 2024.
They are a team that should hopefully compete next season, but, it may not come right out of the gate when the season rolls into St. Pete.
By midway, AJ Foyt Racing seems to be a team that could find some traction from at least one of their drivers, whether that be Robb or Pederson.
This may not be a win forthcoming for next season, but, there is potential for success to come, especially depending on how the new hybrid component will play out.
