12/10/23 – Soviet Problem Stakes at Los Alamitos
Welcome back to another edition of Quills Speaks Winners and for this Sunday, we stay at Los Alamitos for the Soviet Problem, a $100,000 ungraded stakes race for two-year-old California-bred fillies going one mile. Six fillies are entered in the thoroughbred finale.
This race looks like a four-filly race here with the 1 Madison Rae (6/1 morning line), 2 Petit Filet (3/1), 3 Asada Fries(2/1 ML) and the 4 Loretta Lynn (8/5 ML). I’ll go with the 3 Asada Fries as she will be on the lead in this race. She’s also gone two turns, albeit on the turf. She’s the only filly of this group of four who went a mile either on grass or dirt.
I’ll go with Loretta Lynn for second, followed by Madison Rae and Petit Filet. I’m going it 3-4-1-2 in the Soviet Problem at Los Al.
My play is a $10 exacta box 3 & 4 totaling $20. Good luck, and catch you on Monday from an eastern track.
