ALDS Game 3 Recap: Astros 9 – Twins 1
The Astros did their research and were determined to execute their gameplan.
All year, hitters across the league knew Twins ace Sonny Gray’s most unhittable pitch was his sweeper. The Astro’s game plan Tuesday was clear as soon as the game started: attack the sweeper and gain the edge. They did just that, and them Gray couldn’t throw his best asset when it mattered most.
Houston put this game out of reach early with a 9-1 win in Game 3 of the American League Division Series. The Twins now are on the brink of elimination at Target Field.
