Travis Hunter, Quinn Ewers and Donovan Edwards are the featured players on the cover of EA Sports College Football 25, a game returning to store shelves for the first time in more than a decade.
The game has not been produced since the 2014 edition. On Thursday, EA Sports released the cover of the new edition, which will be available July 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X systems.
Hunter is a two-way player at Colorado, Ewers plays quarterback at Texas and Edwards is a running back at national champion Michigan. They are three of the more than 10,000 players from 134 FBS teams to receive name, image and likeness agreements from EA Sports, ESPN reported.
Each participating player will receive $600 and the game.
“Donovan, Quinn and Travis are extraordinary talents who impressed and entertained millions of college football fans on the field last season and are poised to do so again this year,” Daryl Holt, senior vice president and group general manager of EA Sports, said in a statement. “We’re proud to be able to incorporate thousands of current athletes in College Football 25, and featuring this trio of playmakers and their iconic college programs on the cover is a perfect fit as we usher in a new era for EA SPORTS and college football.”
All three players said they were honored to share the comeback cover. The 2014 edition featured Denard Robinson, then the QB at Michigan.
“I couldn’t be more pumped to be part of College Football 25 and represent my Buffaloes on the cover of a game with so much excitement behind it,” Hunter said. “I can’t wait to play and see myself, my teammates and my school in the game.”
