Chelsea forward Mykhailo Mudryk has been contacted by the English Football Association over an “adverse finding” in a routine urine test, the Premier League club said Tuesday.
Chelsea said Ukraine international Mudryk said he had “never knowingly” taken banned substances and that both he and the club supported the FA’s testing program.
The FA did not comment on the situation when approached by The Associated Press.
Chelsea said it would work to establish the cause of the test result. It did not say if Mudryk had been suspended.
