Scuilla’s Sharp, College Football Bets of Week 13:

The week 13 slate of college football is among us. It is rivalry week! One of the best weeks of professional sports. Last week was not up to standard, we are still above .500, and my bet of the week won which moves my record on those to 9-2. Let’s get into the picks.

Tulsa +1.5 vs Florida Atlantic:

This is my bet of the week, FAU even after firing Tom Herman lost a game by double digits at home. Some things don’t change, this 2024 FAU football team will go down as one of the worst in their programs history. Both teams fired their head coach, but FAU is more of a trainwreck at this point. How FAU is favored is beyond me, take the points to play it even more safe.

Army -7 vs UTSA:

Army spread has put money in our pockets all but two times this season, why change now? Notre Dame smothered Army, that was always the likely outcome. Notre Dame is a top 8 team in the country, Army comes back to host UTSA at home. This UTSA roster is nowhere near the rosters they have had in the past.

Georgia -19.5 vs Georgia Tech:

I get it, Georgia Tech has beat Miami this year. They still need to travel to Athens, play the toughest defense in the nation. Georgia is picking up steam, after beating Tennessee up at home, I think they can do the same to Georgia Tech.

Oregon State +20.5 vs Boise State:

Oregon State is one of the weirdest programs in the country right now, they will lose to Air Force by 28 points but will beat Purdue by multiple scores. One thing that is a pattern with them this year, they play well when given the chance to play spoiler. They also play well against their tougher competition. Oregon State is coming off a big win against Wazzu, I think they can keep the game close enough to cover against Boise State.

Auburn +11.5 vs Alabama:

This line doesn’t make much sense to me, I really like Auburn to at the very least keep the game close. It has been proven time after time how crazy these games get. Even when Auburn has a truly inferior team to Alabama, they put up a great fight. Last year Auburn almost had Alabama beat before Jalen Milroe made the play of his life to score a late touchdown. Auburn has had some big wins this year and has proven they can play some good football, give me the Tigers to cover a double digit spread.
