Klay Thompson is responsible for 25 of the Warriors 59 points from being on the bench in their win over the Washington Wizards 123 to 112. Jonathan Kuminga had 21 points in the contest and was ten for 12 for shooting and Stephen Curry had a total of 18 points all of which happened during the second half.

Klay Thompson in tonight’s contest versus the Wizards Thompson drained nine field goals in the game including six of which are three points passing Paul Arizin for fifth all time making field goals in Warriors history. Thompson tonight eclipsed over 20 points in his last three of the last five games since the realignment of the second unit.
Warriors Bench fills the first half scoring void
Despite a first scoreless half for Stephen Curry since 2012 the Warriors held a two point advantage over the Wizards of a score of 60-58 at halftime. Curry was entering the game with 29.2 points per game against the Wizards, more points than any other NBA team in his career. The Warriors filled the void of it with over 31 points of which came off the bench and Klay Thompson leading the reserves with eight points in the first half. Gary Payton II had a total of seven points and Chris Paul had six points.
21 point advantage
The Warriors in tonight’s game versus the Wizards outscored them 38 to 17 in the third quarter making it a 21 point advantage from behind the arc and on the scoreboard. Thompson in the quarter was accounted for with four three pointers in that quarter and a team high 13 points while Curry had eight points with two splashes.

The Warriors are still on the road and leaving Washington, DC to travel now from there to New York City which is a three hour drive and maybe less than an hour long flight to play against the Knicks on Thursday night at 4:30 PM pacific time.
